ABOUT QUEL TAROT
For
10 years, I worked closely with a quadriplegic woman who passed away
of cancer in 2008. In order to facilitate my own healing, I immersed
myself in tarot and began creating tarot-based cards, starting with
"King Miya". After I created that first card, I continued
drawing tarot cards as a way to honor and express appreciation for
loved ones. That was the beginning of "Tarot of Friends and
Familiar."
The deck has gone through many transformations along the way and is now "Quel Tarot," a 22-card Majors only deck. Quel is French for "that" or "which." Quel Tarot is that which is that. It blends various traditions, both tarot and non. I also utilized imagery from dreams and unconscious inspirations in creating this deck. Real-life experiences from my own world pop up here and there, and some things I just plain made up for the sake of creativity and fun. You could say Quel is a bit of magic realism combined with idiosyncratic surreality.
This deck is intended for beginning and experienced tarot readers, people with an interest in meditation or strengthening intuition, those who are interested in self-growth, those who promote wellness and healing, dream-workers, writers and/or artists looking for inspiration, orphans, drunkards, sinners, saints, and anyone interested in empowering themselves by shedding light on inner processes.
Tarot cards are tools which empower us to live life to its fullest by providing further insights to issues at hand. The images provide another voice for the subconscious, thereby making it easier to listen to its wisdom. It works partly by highlighting factors surrounding current life circumstances, I think. Maybe.
I hope you have fun with and find as much enjoyment in these cards as I have in creating them. Thank you so much for your support.

I'm extremely open to suggestions or comments, especially with the minor cards, which I have not printed yet! So please, air your voice! You can either send me an e-mail at klkolberg@riseup.net or post a comment on my new blog, which is an update of my progression through the minors (the same as the forementioned link except you can add comments)! As always, thanks, take care and best to you! ~ Kelley
